When and Where to Dish Out

New Complete Dish Videos are released on Mondays and our Five in 25 series releases episodes on Thursday. We will resume creating a monthly special focused on a topic related to food science or nutritional anthropology monthly in March 2023. You can also get the Dish Guides as well as photos from the episodes here at dishingouteats.com.

The photos are for motivation and the Dish Guides are for inspiration.

When we created Dishing Out in 2019 we initially hoped to avoid the need to attach a written recipe to each video since, as Chris often advocates, cooking by combining ingredients and flavor profiles allows for a lot more self-expression in the kitchen than following a written recipe to the “T”. Well, that didn’t last long. After feverishly typing up half-baked recipes when friends and viewers inevitably said, “Can you send me this recipe?”, we knew it was time to give the people what they wanted. Each video (in the description) and blog post will include our Dish Guide so that you can follow along when preparing your dish at home. But understand, we want these to be like training wheels you can eventually remove. Many of our dishes showcase a technique that’s practically begging for your own interpretation or touch. While we’re pretty proud of our content, we encourage and recommend you put your own spin on every dish! And of course, let us know how it came out!
