Red White and Blue Burger

Red, White and Blue Burgers and Potato Wedges Dish Guide

Serves 4

For the Potato Wedges

2 large russet potatoes

2 T smoked paprika

¼ cup olive oil

Salt and pepper to taste

Cut potatoes lengthwise into wedges of desired size. Bake in an air fryer or convection oven at 400 for 30 minutes flipping halfway through (may take longer in a conventional oven).

For the Burgers

1 lb. freshly ground beef (for ¼ lb. patties)

Blackening seasoning of choice

¼ cup sour cream

¼ cup mayonnaise

1 t Worcestershire sauce

2 oz blue cheese crumbles

Toasted buns and desired toppings for serving

Combine the sour cream, mayo, Worcestershire and blue cheese in a bowl and mix to combine. Form the beef into ¼ patties slightly larger than your buns (if you want thicker burgers just add more meat … duh!). Season patties with your favorite blackening seasoning. Cook patties in medium high heat skillet or on a grill to your desired doneness.

Toast your buns and serve the burgers with lettuce, tomato and topped with the blue cheese sauce.
