Bird Dogs Dish Guide

Serves 4

Five Ingredients

8 chicken tenders (about 1 lb)

Cattleman’s Gold BBQ sauce

Dill or bread and butter Pickles

Brioche hot dog buns

1 cup chicken breader (your preference)

From the Pantry

Olive oil for shallow frying

Spread the chicken breader out on a plate and thoroughly coat the tenders in the breading, being sure to press in the breading and allow the tenders to sit for 5 minutes before frying.

Place a small shallow pan over medium heat and add enough oil to fill up ½”. Bring to 375F and lay in 3-4 chicken tenders. Fry for 3 minutes a side or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove to a wire rack to rest.

Heat up the hot dog buns slightly and lay down a layer of mustard bbq sauce along with 3-4 pickles. Add 1 tender to the bun and top with more sauce. Serve immediately served with fries, tots, chips or any side of your choosing.

By the way, don't care to fry at home? Just use frozen chicken tenders for this for bird dogs without the added oil at home!
