Bratburgers Dish Guide
Serves 4
Five Ingredients
5 bratwurst sausages (roughly 1 lb)
1 bell pepper
1 red onion
4 burger buns
4 slices of cheese of choice
From the Pantry
1 T olive oil
Dijon mustard
Cut the casing of the bratwurst from tip to tip and remove from the sausage. Repeat with each sausage and add to a bowl. Mix the sausage meat up into a ball and portion into 4 patties.
Slice the onion and pepper into ΒΌβ strips.
Add 1 tablespoon of oil to a skillet over medium heat and add 2-4 patties plus the sliced pepper and onion and cook for 4-5 minutes or until patties are browned on the first side. Flip and continue cooking until patties are done (160F internal). Top with cheese and remove from the skillet. Continue cooking peppers and onions until they are as soft as you like.
Toast a bun and spread on as much Dijon mustard as you like. Add a patty and top with the sauteed peppers and onions.
