Shrimp Burgers

Shrimp Burgers Dish Guide

Serves 4

Five Ingredients

1 lb jumbo shrimp, peeled and deveined

3 T seasoned panko breadcrumbs

3 T mayonnaise

Tarter sauce (as desired)

Buns for serving

3 T olive oil

If your shrimp are frozen, place them in a large bowl and fill it with cool water. Leave the water running slowly and stir often. Shrimp will thaw within 10 minutes. If shrimp need to be peeled do so.

Cut about ¼ of the shrimp into small dice. Take the remaining shrimp and place in a food processor. Pulse 4-5 times. Add the bread crumbs and mayo and pulse until well combined but not overmixed. Mix shrimp mixture with diced shrimp.

Coat a plate with some olive oil and wet hands. Divide the shrimp into 4 roughly equal balls and form into a patty shape roughly the size of your buns.

Heat 2 T olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add in the patties and cook for 4-5 minutes on the first side or until golden brown and they release easily from the skillet. Season lightly with salt and pepper. Flip and cook 3-4 minutes more.

Toast the buns lightly. Cover the bottom bun with tartar sauce. Lay down a shrimp patty. Top with any additional condiments and toppings as desired. We recommend a squeeze of lemon and some lettuce, tomato and onion.
